Sermons

Pastor Jeff usually preaches expositionally, doing a series on the complete text of a particular book of the Bible, rather than topically, choosing a topic and using disparate scriptures to address it.

Topical Sermons

Stylos: An occasional commentary

The Stylos commentaries are extended reflections on issues related to theology, contemporary culture, and the church from Pastor Jeff. The title Stylos is taken from the Greek word meaning “pillar.” The theme verse for these reflections is 1 Timothy 3:15 where Paul shares instructions with Timothy on how to conduct himself among God’s people, whom Paul describes in glowing terms as “the church of the living God, the pillar (stylos) and ground of the truth.”

Recommended Reading List

There are many evangelical books in print these days. All books are not created equal. Not all books are worth the investment of time it might take to read and digest them. A Christian has the responsibility of loving God with his mind. We must also be careful stewards of our time. This list is intended to provide the Christian reader with a choice selection of books. Sometimes the believer will be interested in a particular topic and not know which books would be best to read. This list does not attempt to be exhaustive but to provide a few profitable resources on various topics.
