The goal of the Women’s Ministry is to utilize the great things that are already occurring within the church and provide an added focus on the needs and praises of the women of Jefferson Park Baptist Church. Ultimately, our desire is that we will be encouragers to our husbands, our children, and the entire JPBC family.

Why SEEDS?

The Jefferson Park Baptist Church Women’s Ministry will emphasize a Christ centered life. We will strive to pattern our lives after Titus 2:3-5: ...the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Who will do the work?

The Women’s Ministry Team will provide focus and organization for the Women’s Ministry, but our individual members will share the work.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load. — Galatians 6:2-5

Goals of the Women’s Ministry

To grow in spiritual maturity, encouraging the women to take full advantage of the opportunities for hearing the Word and participating in Bible Studies.
To grow and build relationships within the body of JPBC women, bridging the generations with women mentoring women.
The women of Jefferson Park Baptist Church will know one another by their first names, not just their closest friends, but all women in the church.
Offer prayer requests to Prayer Partners, knowing that others are truly praying for them individually and as a group of women.
To encourage each woman to utilize her spiritual gifts.
Increased involvement of the women in ministry opportunities using their talents and gifts for our church family. (Teachers, VBS Workers, etc.)
Become prayer warriors for one another, our families, our Pastor and his family, as well as our leaders, focusing all of our attention to God’s plan and will for our church family and for each of us.
To celebrate the wonderful times that God gives us such as births, weddings, baptisms, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc.
To encourage and love in times of need such as illness, death and hardship.
To encourage our husbands and families.
To encourage unity in the church.
To provide encouragement and sisterhood support to our women who do not have husbands.

Becoming a Prayer Partner

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.... Ephesians 6:17-18

As a Prayer Partner, you will paired up with another woman in the church. If you are new to our fellowship and would like to be paired up with a prayer partner, please contact us.
